A Global Network for Culture of Peace
Bauhaus and De Stijl once dreamed of uniting the world through Red, Yellow, and Blue—symbols of harmony and renewal. Their vision was never completed. We continue it.
RYB Art Centers are not only cultural landmarks; they are also global development and data innovation hubs. Here, citizens, artists, NGOs, and creative industries come together under one roof. We share knowledge, map global challenges, and transform data into solutions—starting with peace, poverty, food, water, gender equality, and education.
In times of shrinking aid, we build solidarity through creativity and collaboration. UNESCO, the UN, and civil society are welcome.
Together, we cultivate a Culture of Peace where art, data, and humanity unite for a better world.
A culture of peace is closely linked to a culture of human rights and democracy. Peace cannot be maintained if the basic rights and freedoms of individuals or groups are violated and if discrimination and exclusion generate conflict. Therefore, the protection of human rights and the promotion of a culture of democracy, which includes the formation of informed, democratic and responsible citizens, become important elements for the construction of internal and international peace.
Culture of Peace is a concept that promotes values, attitudes and behaviours that reject violence and prevent conflict by addressing its causes through dialogue, education and cooperation. It emphasises the importance of understanding, tolerance and solidarity between people and communities. The aim is to build societies where differences are respected and conflicts are resolved peacefully, creating an environment in which peace can flourish.
UNESCO is a driving force behind the Culture of Peace movement, advocating initiatives in the areas of education, sustainable development, human rights, gender equality and democratic participation. The Culture of Peace is seen as a holistic approach to creating a more just and peaceful world, and encourages individuals and societies to actively contribute to building peace at every level—from local communities to global relations.
